Policies for Students & Parents
RULES FOR STUDENTS
Arrive at least 5 minutes before class time, READY. Tardy students may only observe class.
Do not sit on the floor in the front entrance hallway.
Do not wear dance shoes outside; carry in dance bag.
No talking in class. RESPECT your teacher.
Bring your dance bag with you into class.
Accept your corrections with a “Thank you.” You are here to learn and become a better dancer.
Attend class each week so that you do not fall behind.
There is a table in the Studio 1 waiting room for homework. Keep it clean and pick up after yourself!
NO food or drink (except water) in studio unless accompanied by adults who is responsible for total cleanup.
SIT QUIETLY AND TALK SOFTLY in the waiting rooms. Noise travels through the walls into classrooms.
Students are only allowed to take genres of dance at other studios if they are taking the same genre at ours
Once costumes are ordered, students are expected to finish out the year, including the recital.
You may miss 2 classes per semester (August – December and January – June) or you may be placed in a different class
DO NOT enter your class until the class before yours has ended, and the students have come out.
Respect the studio as if it were your own home.
RESPECT YOUR TEACHER AND HONOR THE DRESS CODE REQUIRED FOR EACH CLASS.
RULES FOR PARENTS
Arrive 5 minutes before the end of class to pick up students.
Tiny Tots will wait inside their classroom for parent pickup. Let teacher know if someone other than parent is picking up child.
PLEASE have young children use the restroom before class.
No talking or other disruptions while you view class.
Try to drop off/pick up child without waiting. If you do, please wait quietly in hallway, NOT office area.
Liability insurance forms MUST be signed and returned to us.
BE SURE to read monthly newsletters & updates sent to your email or pick up copy at front desk. Follow us on Facebook for updates too!
PUT CHILD’S NAME ON ALL SHOES AND DANCE BAGS.
Put child’s FULL NAME on all checks or money orders. Get a RECEIPT at front desk for cash payments.
ONCE COSTUMES ARE ORDERED IN NOVEMBER YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR COSTUME IN FULL.
Do NOT open studio doors when classes are in session.
Follow parking lot directions. One way in and one way out. DO NOT BLOCK THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC by stopping your car in the path where traffic must drive through to get in and out of the parking lot!!
If you need to talk to your child’s teacher, please call her at home, NOT in the classroom, as we need to stay on schedule.
If there is a conflict or problem, please address it to your teacher right away, calmly and respectfully (or to the front desk).
Handicap parking space ONLY for authorized card or license plate holders.
